About

Hello, my name is Tara (They/she) & I go by T!

I'm an Integrative Art psychotherapist dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized young people and adults. I'm a proud AuDHD, Non-binary, bi and polyamorous therapist. I create a space where clients feel seen, understood and affirmed in who they are.

We work together at your pace to build relational safety, supporting you to heal from the impact of othering/exile towards feeling enough. The core basis of my practice is feminist and anti-oppressive, which includes a focus on and frameworks that look at power, privilege and the impact of minority stress.

My specialisms:

  • Neurodivergent children and young adults.

  • LGBTQIA+ children, adults and families.

  • Children and young people who have experiences of complex trauma and abuse (including pre-trial therapy).

  • Adults and children with racialized/indigenous identities (minoritized groups in UK, and global majority groups).

  • Adults who are ex cult/high demand groups or deconstructing from faith backgrounds (experiences of spiritual and or ritual abuse).

I offer: In person sessions for children and young people aged from 7-23.

Adults aged 45+ upwards (City of Edinburgh).

For Online sessions/clients who live outside of City of Edinburgh/Lothian, these ages include 13+ and above with no upper age boundary.

I have a limited amount of spaces for international clients.

I have current availability on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays.
