About
I’m a counsellor based in Edinburgh, working with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, relationships or experiences from the past that continue to affect them in the present.
My approach is integrative, drawing particularly on psychodynamic and person-centred therapy. This means we can explore not only what is happening for you now, but also the patterns, relationships and experiences that may have shaped how you think, feel and respond today.
Sometimes we understand our patterns intellectually but still find ourselves repeating them. Therapy can provide an opportunity to slow things down, explore what lies beneath the surface and develop a different understanding of yourself and your experiences. From there, we can work towards greater self-awareness, confidence and more choice in how you respond to life.
I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process. I won’t tell you what you should do or offer ready-made solutions. Instead, I’ll work alongside you with curiosity, empathy and honesty, helping you explore what feels important and find your own way forward.
You don’t need to know exactly what you need from therapy before you begin. An initial conversation can be a chance to talk about what has brought you here and see whether you feel I’m the right person to work with.
I offer a limited number of concessionary spaces for those who would otherwise find accessing therapy difficult.
